Today, palliative "comfort care" medicine, is increasingly recognized for improving patient care in seriously ill patients. For more than 30 years, palliative care has gone beyond the traditional "diagnose and treat" method, instead focusing on patient comfort and quality of life. The Foundation works to educate the community and provide funding to advance palliative medicine research. Through education and research, we can improve end-of-life care.
